She began painting pictures of the homes she sold. Then, as a closing gift, she would give the matted artwork prints to to her clients along with a set of matching "We've Moved" Note Cards to send to their friends. Her unique designs caught the eyes of other realtors and they began requesting her to make the paintings and cards for them....and for their friends...and so on ...and so on! She began "painting the town"!

She expanded by adding Postcards and other marketing materials not only for realtors, but other businesses as well. Her artistic eye brought a freshness and true unique artistic quality to the materials. Acrey quit real estate all together in February of 2006 and has devoted her energies exclusively to her true passion... her art.

She created this web site to showcase and sell her Note Cards and Postcards. She is a self published artist.

Her original artwork and Limited Edition prints are part of numerous private collections across the United States, Germany,  Puerto Rico, Australia and the Philippines!

Truly an inspired artist, Linda Acrey, has created artwork since she could hold a pencil. She was drawing people by the time she was two years old... “The art just comes through”, she states, “God has given me a wonderful gift”.  Childhood memories of the colorful seasons in her hometown in Pennsylvania inspired her and she captures those rich colors in her painting to this day.

Her family moved to the San Fernando Valley in southern California when she was ten years old.  She majored in art throughout her school years and college and gained many honors and awards.  Some of her early works were signed by her middle name, Corinne.

She has traveled throughout the United States and she has also lived in Texas and Nevada. Each experience has added inspiration for her paintings. She spent many years in the Sierra’s painting and photographing the beautiful scenery. Presently she makes her home in Elk Grove, California.

Unlike many artists, Linda does not focus on one subject, style or medium. Variety has truly been her spice of life. From acrylics to watercolors, pencils, color pencils, charcoal, oil, photography and collage materials and digital art —you name it she can create art from it– from abstract to minute detail. Her intricate color pencil drawings are splendid.  Her impressionistic acrylic painting works display her very own distinct style. Although dominantly left handed, she is ambidextrous, and often draws and paints with both hands simultaneously! It is particularly interesting to watch and is a crowd pleasing technique at her demo’s and shows.

After having raised a family, Acrey took the time to blossom out with her artwork. She has exhibited in shows and her artwork was available in numerous galleries throughout the U.S. including the Sacramento and sierra region. She now sells most of her art in her own online Gallery... SacramentoArt.com, a web site she created in the year 2000. Now it gets millions of hits. It is a fantastic art web site for artist, Galleries, art Groups and art related businesses to advertise themselves. She lists art activities in the Sacramento and surrounding region on the site. She is also working on a second art site- Artsales.net -which will be open to artists outside of the Sacramento region.

She is conducting fund-raisers with art for various organizations. She also teaches art classes and workshops.  Her business, Acrey Art, retails art to the public and wholesales art to galleries, framers, businesses and corporations.

She has written articles about art and has been published in HOME Improvement & Remodeling Magazine. Her artwork was featured on the covers of the Sacramento magazines Inside the City, and The Elk Grove Community Resource Guide. She has been featured in articles in Guide to the Arts and The Sacramento Business Journal and she has been in  Art Talk magazine.  She has exhibited at the International ART EXPO Show.
